Skin rashes: what are the causes that trigger it, the symptoms and what are the most effective solutions to prevent and treat this annoying disorder.

A rash is a sudden and abnormal change in the color and texture of the skin, which becomes covered with spots or raised spots. It occurs following inflammation of the skin in the form of pustules, papules, scales, vesicles, ulcerations, boils or boils.

Rashes, the causes

The causes that determine the appearance of this skin inflammation can be attributable to several factors. The rash can be triggered, directly or indirectly, through:

  • bacteria
  • viral infections
  • mushrooms

Among the most frequent causes of skin rash we have eczema, one rinflammatory action of the skin that presents with light patches to later turn into blisters and finally into crusts, even of large dimensions.

Other causes can be:

  • the fire of St. Anthony
  • acne
  • urticaria
  • herpes simplex
  • psoriasis
  • the HIV virus
  • the classic infectious diseases of children: measles, chicken pox, scarlet fever and rubella
  • streptococcus, staphylococcus aureus
  • the candida
  • scabies
  • drug abuse
  • insect bites.

Rash, symptoms

The rash can cause pain, peeling and small swellings. among the most common symptoms we mention:

  • Constant itching
  • Redness of the skin
  • Dry and flaking skin
  • Formation of vesicles

Rashes, care

Treatment varies according to the cause that triggered the skin inflammation. The most appropriate care is the responsibility of the specialist (dermatologist), who based on the investigations collected and observing the lesions will be able to identify the cause that triggered the problem. Given the complexity of the disorder, it is not recommended to resort to improvised or do-it-yourself therapies.

Today, there are several therapies to treat this disorder. In the case of mild diseases, the first recommendation is to follow correct habits that provide for adequate skin hygiene and a diet rich in vitamin E and vitamin C, for their antioxidant action.

Generally, the therapies are pharmacological: ointments, soothing creams, anti-inflammatory corticosteroid drugs, antifungals, antibiotics and in the case of skin rashes caused by allergic reactions, the treatment involves the use of antihistamines.

In addition to drug treatment, it is possible to treat the rash using instrumental techniques, such as:

  • Laser therapy: very suitable for small acne lesions
  • Phototherapy: very effective in case of dermatitis and psoriasis. Attention, its use must only be prescribed by the specialist.

Skin rashes, natural remedies

As already mentioned, at the first symptoms of skin irritation it is good to consult a specialist. In any case, it is possible to mitigate the symptoms of this disorder by making use of natural remedies that involve the use of products found in herbal medicine and natural ingredients easily available in the pantry
