It is possible to protect plants by using natural remedies. In this regard, we offer you some useful, practical and simple tips to implement for take care of plants in a natural way, using a few cents.

THE vegetable macerates (liquid compounds obtained from fermentation in water) are excellent natural remedies to protect our plants. They work effectively as repellents and fertilizers, they also stimulate the growth of the plant making it stronger and more resistant. Among the most used macerates we find those based on garlic, nettle, chives, dandelion, horsetail but also chilli or tomato.

How to prepare the macerates?

Get a plastic container, and put the vegetable you want to macerate inside.
Fill the container with water that has been kept for a few days in bad weather.
Be careful not to fill it to the brim: the fermentation process will produce a lot of foam. Cover the container with a net to prevent animals or leaves from falling inside, making sure that the macerated have enough air.

Mix the contents of the container once a day: in the sun the operation has a faster effect. After about three weeks, the macerate is ready for use. The macerated it should be stored, once ready, in a closed container with a lid.

Against parasites it is excellent macerated garlic. Pour the macerate into a bottle with an empty dispenser, of those of the most common household cleaning products and spray the liquid directly on the parasites, when you see them active.
